Camco helped BioRegional Quintain Ltd(BQL) to secure and develop this English Partnerships site in the North East. The team responded to a development brief that set stringent energy standards by proposing an exemplar highly sustainable community based on principles of Zero Carbon, Zero Waste and efficient use of water and materials. The site is challenging, given its transformation from a former dockyard into a prestige riverside development.We helped BQL to develop a business plan for the delivery of low carbon energy services, supported an ESCo procurement process and negotiated with adjacent land owners to progress investigations into the establishment of a large wind turbine to power the site.This project is a key example of how a leading-edge commercial developer is able to respond and surpass the standards set by a public sector land owner to deliver a sustainable community.
